Question of the week!

What is the most challenging time of the day for you, with your kiddos?

What is the most enjoyable time of day typically?

Nine Months And Forever said...: Most Challenging: After nap! I don't know why but this is always a hard time of day. Plus I always struggle to get dinner ready with three kids needing my attention.

Most Enjoyable: The last hour before bed. The kids are usually really cuddly and love to sit on my lap while I read them books. I love it when they finally settle down so I can love on them!! :)

I have a new time of day I really enjoy: mornings when my daughter climbs into my bed to snuggle. We just converted her crib to a toddler bed so she's free to escape in the mornings and will greet me with a "hi" and a big hug. So much more pleasant than waking to an alarm clock! Too bad the snuggle only lasts 2 minutes before she's ready to be up and at 'em :); September 28, 2008 at 6:06 PM

Most enjoyable: Getting home from work and playing with Kara, eating dinner as a family and playing outside with her. Bath time is also a lot of fun and it is "our" time together.

nicole said...: Most challenging is between 4:30-5:30 or Maddie's 3rd nap time. She's so tired which transpires into crabbiness. Sometimes she'll take the nap, other days no way!

I absolutely love first thing in the morning. I get her and she's sitting up waiting for me with an ear to ear grin. I nurse her (our cuddle time) and then she's ready for some fun.; September 29, 2008 at 6:56 AM
Kelly O'Donnell said...: Lately, I'm finding 9-10 a.m. to be challenging--trying to get showered and dressed, and it's still too early to play outside or go somewhere--there's just not much to "do" other than trying to get ready and although I occupy her with makeup brushes, it's a little boring.

Favorite is when she wakes up from a nap (likes to read on my lap and drink milk under a blanket) or right before bed.; September 29, 2008 at 7:29 AM

Meetings: The club meets once a month. We will also have date nights, cooking classes, book clubs, charity work, play dates, and walking groups.

What To Think About For Each Meeting: Some of the meeting will take place in another location and will not be a standard meeting. For example, our September meeting will be our first "Date Night." For a standard meeting, please consider the following:

(Keep in mind, these are simply suggestions and we are not asking that you bring one from each category. Contribute as much as you wish! )

1. Gift Swap-Do you have a gift at home that someone else might find more useful? Bring it for our gift swap!

2. Pay It Forward-Have you read a really great article recently or any form of information that you would like to share with the group? If so, bring 20 copies to share at our next meeting!

3. Hot Tips-Have you heard of any fun fund raisers, cooking classes or any "Hot Tip" you want to post on our bulletin board to share with the group? If so, bring your tip with you to our meeting!

4. Idea Swap: Depending on the topic, it would be great if each guest brought an idea to share for our group conversation. Get your ideas down on paper and bring it along with you to the meeting to present to the group. If possible, make 20 copies to share or just bring your original and we can distribute copies for you at our next meeting.
