Meetings: The club meets once a month. We will also have date nights, cooking classes, book clubs, charity work, play dates, and walking groups.

What To Think About For Each Meeting: Some of the meeting will take place in another location and will not be a standard meeting. For example, our September meeting will be our first "Date Night." For a standard meeting, please consider the following:
(Keep in mind, these are simply suggestions and we are not asking that you bring one from each category. Contribute as much as you wish! )
1. Gift Swap-Do you have a gift at home that someone else might find more useful? Bring it for our gift swap!
2. Pay It Forward-Have you read a really great article recently or any form of information that you would like to share with the group? If so, bring 20 copies to share at our next meeting!
3. Hot Tips-Have you heard of any fun fund raisers, cooking classes or any "Hot Tip" you want to post on our bulletin board to share with the group? If so, bring your tip with you to our meeting!
4. Idea Swap: Depending on the topic, it would be great if each guest brought an idea to share for our group conversation. Get your ideas down on paper and bring it along with you to the meeting to present to the group. If possible, make 20 copies to share or just bring your original and we can distribute copies for you at our next meeting.

We did a few things. we pushed rewards. She loved stickers so everytime she went on the potty she got stickers, or a small cookie, etc. When that wore off we got her a potty that played music when she went in it and that worked. When that wore off we just put big girl underware on her and she had a few accidents but then one day she just got it. Really push rewards and every few hours put them on the potty so they get used to it. When they get up after an nap and before bed. Those worked for us! (it took awhile)

We tried candy as rewards at first, but it really didn't work for Gavin. So, we moved on to a sticker chart that was taped to the wall in the bathroom. The chart was just 20 squares and each time Gavin tried to go potty, he got to put a sticker in a square. (I also put pictures of him wearing big boy undies on chart, so we could talk about how cool he looked in undies!) When all 20 squares were filled up, we went to Chuck E. Cheese. It took about 2-3 of these charts, and he was potty trained. We went from pull-ups all day to pull-ups at nap and bedtime to pull-ups just at bedtime and on his 3rd birthday, we said "3 year olds only wear undies,"and did away with pull-ups altogether. From then on, he was 100% potty trained.He has only ever had 2 or 3accidents at night time, but I think it may be because he had too much milk before bedtime. So, we are sure to limit his milk to 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup before bed, and make sure he goes potty before going to sleep. By the way, Gavin was almost 100% potty trained at one point around 2 1/2 years old, but Serge and I left him and went to Vegas for 4 days and when we came back, he had totally regressed. So, I would not suggest leaving your kid mid-way through the potty-training process!!

So as of right now, the thought of using public restrooms every 30 mins. with a toddler versus the hassle and expense of buying diapers is not winning out--I'm keeping her in diapers until she is 10 :)
the public bathroom thing is a total pain. WIth Girls you cant really hold them up to pea becasue they pea on you, TRUST ME! I usually line the toliet with at least 5-7 covers then tissue on top of that. By then i have usually made it so thick that the pea rolls off but at least her hands are not directly on the seat. After i wash her hands at least 2 times then use anti-bact. It is nasty but what can you do.

Ugh, public bathrooms are not fun, but I think it might be a little easier with boys, since they can just stand (on the tops of your feet if they are not yet all enough!) But, for some reason, Gavin is so interested in both the tampon dispenser machine and the tampon/pad little garbage can on the wall in the stalls and always wants to touch them, open them, and talk all about them (which I never let him touch or open, of course!!!) Ew, gross!!!

For all the mommies with little girls Babies R Us used to sell a fold up potty seat. Very small, just use a bleach wipe and it fits in a large zip loc bag. Great for all the public rest rooms and for those houses without potty seats.
We also used rewards mm&m's, stickers, at the end it was a princess doll for Emma. Worked like a charm. As For Noah we are still in the process of potty training. All day in undies, if we are running around he goes in a pull up. Boys seem so much harder. Good luck this one seems to take TIME! :-)
