Question of the week!

At what age did you first take your child(ren) to a movie in the theater? How was the experience, and any tips you can recommend to help them sit through the whole thing?

my 3 year old has yet to sit through a movie at home, so I don't think we're there yet...

I took my oldest daughter when she was about 3. However she sat very well and was very quiet at that age. I just made sure the movie was not to scary before I took her. She loved it! I still remember it- it was The Tigger Movie. Anyway, I just made sure we had some snacks and drinks and also the theature provided booster seats for the kids since the seats fold up when there is not much weight and it helped them see better.

My parents took the boys this summer. They did not have the booster seat...my dad had to hold down Ben's chair the entire movie so he didn't fold in half. :) Jake was fascinated with the lights on the floor and at one point was laying on the nasty movie theater floor checking them out. YUCK!!!! All in all, I think they were a little to young. Danielle
