(Keep in mind, these are simply suggestions and we are not asking that you bring one from each category. Contribute as much as you wish! )
1. Gift Swap-Do you have a gift at home that someone else might find more useful? Bring it for our gift swap!
2. Pay It Forward-Have you read a really great article recently or any form of information that you would like to share with the group? If so, bring 20 copies to share at our next meeting!
3. Hot Tips-Have you heard of any fun fund raisers, cooking classes or any "Hot Tip" you want to post on our bulletin board to share with the group? If so, bring your tip with you to our meeting!
4. Idea Swap: Depending on the topic, it would be great if each guest brought an idea to share for our group conversation. I just found a cute new site for personalized stationery cute for sister or mother-in-law gifts (pregnant lady notecards for yourself or a friend even?!) www.stationerystore.com. For kids stuff, I love lillianvernon.com and llbean/Land's End. For neighbor and hostess gifts, I buy small Christmas baking dishes at teh dollar store and make mini-loaves of lemon bread--easy and yummy. I also buy christmas mugs and fill with homemade Chex Mix or oyster cracker mix.
I actually did all of my shopping this year on line. It was so nice. Several sites offer free shipping, free personalized gift. Lillan Veron.com is one, overstock.com, walmart offeres ship to store so there is no fighting crowds just oder your stuff and they have it all at the counter waiting for you. I try to make it as easy as possible because fighting crowds is not very festive!

Great tips you guys! I love the shop online and then pick up at the store!
This is my Christmas tip for the year. We use our American Express credit card to buy groceries, gas, and for eating out. With the AE card you get money back after you rack up so many points. With the points/money you can purchase gift cards. They have gift cards to almost every store. We just purchased Home Depot, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Old Navy, Macys, etc. with our points. We are hoping our gift cards will cover the expense of Christmas this year.

For toys, I shop around. This year, I found cheaper prices for the toys I wanted at amazon. I try to watch for sales, but I am awful at that. Amazon also has free shipping (as long as you do your shopping early so it gets to you in time). I also love Lillan Vernon. Danielle - the bags I got for Ben and Jake are from there.
I planned on attending Black Friday, but changed my mind. I don't want to fight the crowds and I looked at the toys r us ad and there isn't anything on sale that I want....but someone else might feel differently.
