1. Gift Swap-Do you have a gift at home that someone else might find more useful? Bring it for our gift swap!

some toddler favorites, aside from countless dolls & dress-up stuff:
1) Little Tikes shopping cart (my fave too!- I wheel it around when I clean up at night to stash anything that belongs in the girls' rooms :)
2) kitchen & accessories, including Melissa & Doug magnetic kitchen bottle set & Just Like Home microwave
3) Aqua/Magnadoodles in every size
4) Little Tikes Cozy Coupe
5) Little People nativity set (other LP stuff goes unused but this one is only brought out for Christmas so it seems new every year. And she loves all my mom's LP from when we were kids - does everyone else agree that the vintage "little" Little People are way more fun??)
6) my first trampoline (with the bar they hold onto)
baby favorites:
1) LeapFrog Learn & Groove musical table, and counting maracas
2) pop-up "bug" books by David Carter
3) the good old Fisher Price Chatter phone
Books, and dress up items are my kids favs! Anything that sparks them to use their minds and learn i am a huge fan of. This year i saw a bike that hooks up to your TV and they can ride it to a game that teches them to spell and read. Looks cool.
Plus for those looking to save money this year, Walmart priced 100 toys at 10$ each and i went to check them out, pretty good stuff. Lots of games, dolls, trucks etc. Worth looking at!

For one year olds, I LOVE the Fisher Price Grow with Me Kitchen. It starts out really low so new walkers can stand at it, then raises up as they get taller. Tess is sort of aging out of it at almost three years old, just in time to get a serious bid kid kitchen. Perfect.
I have a group question: if you have the same sex kids, what do you think about "regifting" to your younger child what your older one has grown out of? For instance, we bought Tess the perfect toddler size dollhouse (Loving Family My First Dollhouse by Fisher Price, also a great toy). She's ready for a larger dollhouse and so I am going to put the "baby" one away...but really, for my younger daughter, there wouldn't be a reason to buy ANOTHER toddler dollhouse for her in a year since we already have a $100 one we own and I think the one we got is the best on the market for that need. Horrible or Thrifty Mom? At what age do you stop re gifting (I doubt she'll know at age one but "Surprise, it's your sister's old bike for your seventh bday" doesn't work, right!??!)
from one thrifty mom to another :) ...don't think I'd go so far as to rewrap an old toy, but until they're old enough to notice their siblings are getting more than them (3?) we'll "spend" the same amount on each, but a large portion of the youngest's will go right into her bank account instead of buying toys just to buy. And I did get some cute dress up items from teh consignment shop and am not above wrapping those up for my oldest - new to her!
Emma is 5 and Noah is 3. So here are a few of our favorite things.
1. Gator Golf- u get 2 golf clubs, a ball and a gator mouth that opens up to golf in. THe kids love it and is safe for the home.
2. Fisher Price bowling set. Great for the winter and was a great way to practice for our first time bowling.
3. Ele fun- elephant tunk that blows butterflies and u catch w/ a net. Sorry this one takes batteries.
4. Dress up clothes! The best clothes are from Costco. They come in a trunk, have been washed many times and they grow with you.
Worst thing to buy - MOON SAND
